Reviews from our guests
Epic, exceeded our expectations! What an epic experience. We chose the Sahara excursion which was a 3 day venture from Marrakech to the Sahara to Fes. I’m not one to go on a tour, even considered renting a car but chose against it and glad we did. Our guide was Ahmed and he made the experience one of our best ever to be honest. I can’t speak for the companies other guides as I only used them once this trip but if they are like Ahmed, they set the Moroccan standard of hospitality. Ahmed was our driver and our guide, he took us to the local spots to eat, answered everyone of our questions and taught us about the local culture and it’s nuances. He’d take us shopping to the places he likes to buy for his family, and always would tell us don’t feel pressured to buy anything which, honestly was great because we could shop in peace or leave in peace. Shukran Ahmed!
As for the sights and sounds of what you see. Wow. Moroccan Food Tours have crafted an amazing itinerary. You don’t need to tweak much but if you want to add things along the way just ask before hand and I’m sure it won’t be a problem. Don’t come to Morocco if you’re not going to see the Sahara. Just my opinion, it was one of the highlights of my life and I’ve traveled quite a bit. The stay at night was amazing, the music, and we were lucky, it was just me and my wife at the camp. We traveled at a time of curfew (9pm palaces close) and tourism is practically non existent here. However don’t let these things dissuade you from coming to Morocco. They have a high vaccination rate and every tour operator we met was vaccinated (I didn’t ask for proof). You’re still in Africa, follow the guidelines, wear masks in crowded places and you’ll be good. If you’re traveling for the first time to Morocco or Africa be prepared for culture shock it takes some time to get used to. Not if you’re with Ahmed and the Moroccan Food Tour though, these guys are the best in the game and I’ll use them as a template moving forward for other companies as we get back to our travels.
